Booking of Obstetric Package
- Non-local pregnant women can choose to give birth at either private or public hospitals. If public hospital is chosen, the pregnant woman is only allowed to book obstetric services at public hospital if service capacity is available. They are not allowed to book the services if the capacity has been full.
- Mainland woman has to book obstetric services in person at a public hospital. Only those with referrals from Hong Kong registered doctors and Maternal and Child Health Centers will be accepted if there are spare quotas.
Pregnant women are required to bring along the following documents upon booking at a Specialist Outpatient Clinic
- Valid Travel Document
- Referral letter from registered doctors in Hong Kong or MCHCs
- Address Proof
Fees and Charges (Public Hospital):
Non local women are required to pay the full charge of $39,000 on booking the Obstetric services. The services include
1. One antenatal checkup
2. Delivery service
3. First three days of hospitalisation in general wards (i.e. a two-night stay) for the concerned delivery.
$48,000 will be charged for those who have not made a confirmed booking for their delivery and/or have not undergone the antenatal checkup provided by public hospital during the pregnancy concerned.

There are a variety of charges at different private hospitals, expectant parents can contact regarding hospitals for details.
