Human Leukocyte Antigen Typing (HLA Typing)
Before performing cord blood transplantation, recipient's Human Leukocyte Antigen (HLA) must match that of the donor. (Cord blood transplantation requires only 4 matched HLA out of 6, but bone marrow transplantation requires fully matched HLA)
In 2004, HeatlhBaby Group established public donation bank, and released over 550 units of cord blood stem cells samples for HLA matching worldwide until now. The quality and viability of the cord blood units meet international standards. Successful transplant have also spread all over the world including Germany, Austria, Canada, China, Argentina and Thailand etc.
