HealthBaby offers different umbilical cord and cord blood storage plans to cater different expectant parents' needs.
After the service plan confirmed, please call hotline for appointment. (The registration will take around 30-45 minutes)
After registration, a collection kit will be provided and please bring along the collection kit to hospital upon delivery.
Please call hotline immediately after delivery and our dedicated staff will collect the cord blood (and umbilical cord) from hospital to laboratory.
Laboratary technician would process the cord blood according to international accredited standard upon cord blood arrival.
Baby's cord blood will be placed inside the freezing box (15 -25℃) and our dedicated staff will deliver the cord blood from hospital to laboratory for processing.
Identity information will be verified and an unique ISBT barcode will be assigned for detailed record and international tracking.
Laboratory techinician will test the cord blood according to international accreditation requirement to ensure the cord blood is free from ontamination and stem cells viability is suitable for storage.
Once confirmed the cord blood is suitable for storage, cord blood would be loaded into AXP® System† to segregate white blood cells and red blood cells.
Laboratory technician would transfer stem cells into freezing bag and inject DMSO into freezing bag. Then double wrap the freezing bag and place into canister for extra protection.
Insert the canister into controlled rate freezer. Once the designated temperature is reached, the canister will be put into BioArchive® System for cryogenic storage.

HealthBaby will regularly release Quality Check Report to ensure clients' stem cells reaching the transplant standard. (Laboratory results are tested from laboratory samples)
The accreditations HealthBaby obtained ensure cord blood (and umbilical cord) transfer ,processing and storage to be performed at the highest standard.
Baby's cord blood will be placed inside the freezing box (2-10℃) and our dedicated staff will deliver the umbilical cord from hospital to laboratory for processing.

Laboratory techinician will test the umbilical cord according to international accreditation requirement to ensure the umbilical cord is free from contamination and stem cells viability is suitable for storage.
Umbilical cord would be sterilized and prepared at Class 100,000 clean room and then transferred to Class 10,000 clean room (Class 10,000 is more superior to Class 100,000) to remove the blood vessels and dismember the cord (smaller than 2mm).
Transfer the tissue into culture flask to retrieve the most primitive MSCs†. After cell culture, stem cells will be stored in freezing bag and further protected by canister.
Insert the canister into controlled rate freezer and put into BioArchive® System for cryogenic storage.
